Description
This auction is for a copy of The Beatles debut album Please Please Me. It is a mono early pressing with Parlophone Black and Gold Labels.
It is a slightly strange copy as it has only been played a handful of times but was mistreated by it's original owners.
If you look at the labels there is no ring wear or spindle marks, they look brand new except on Side A where there are a couple of thin scratch marks.
The vinyl looks brand new with an original gloss to it but there are around a dozen surface marks on the record which I have tried to capture in the photos.
I only played the record once around ten years ago and I no longer own a turntable. The audio was superb with the surface marks not affecting play, the only audible scratch was on Side Two, Track 4, Do You Want To Know A Secret.
There is a tiny chip out of the vinyl at the beginning of the Side One run in not affecting the grooves in any way, I suspect that this is a manufacturing fault.
The cover is as good as you could expect from this 56 year old album with only edge wear really.
