THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME PMC 1202 - Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 421-1N; Side 2: XEX 422-1N.
RECORD/SLEEVE: This is fantastic opportunity to grab a fantastic playing copy of this mega rare first pressing of Please Please Me. The gold label was changed very quickly due to Parlophone wanting to modernise their brand, hence why the vast, vast majority of copies were on the yellow and black label. This however is one of the few gold labels that slipped through the net...
The record is in VG - / G+ condition, it does have scattered hairlines but NO deep scratches!!! Because of this, the record plays really well with only some background crackle, which quickly disappears once the mono blast kicks in!!! I really enjoyed listening to it whilst watching the rare label spin round!
The sleeve does have wear as you can see by the pictures. Certainly not a great sleeve, but better than some I've seen, as this one is in tact and pretty clean. I would grade as VG- /G+
