6th pressing of the band's classic debut album with the 'First Recording Published 1963' and 'Sold In The UK...' text.

Matrix numbers:   XEX421-1N & XEX422-2N (overstamped) 

This is a rare label variation of the 6th pressing with a unique Times font, only used very briefly. The labels that came before and after were in the usual Arial font. The changes are quite subtle but unique in Please Please Me's label history.

Also 'The Beatles' at the bottom of the label was much more prominent.

 

CONDITION (vinyl/cover)

VG+  (a nice clean record still with its original sheen; surface shows just light wear with some superficial minor marks/slight sleeve removal scuffs and a couple of more prominent surface marks across the surface which although noticeable do not affect play; labels are bright and clean and show just a very small amount of spindlemarks; overall audio is excellent - loud, punchy and dynamic with no major deterioration in sound quality and no significant surface noise, no clicking or popping, no sticks or jumps - a very nice copy of this rare later mono pressing which has not been overplayed.. definitely one to play and enjoy) 

/ VG+  (front laminate in lovely solid and flat condition with just one or two small laminate creases; edges still pretty sharp and spine fully readable; light wear at corners and light feathering to opening; white back surface has some browning and some small surface tears along opening edge; no damage to flipbacks; all in all still in very solid shape with no major creasing and no obvious defects; no bends, no splits, no tears, no staining, no writing, no ringwear)

Comes with original Emitex 'tracing paper' lined sleeve which is clean with just some corner creasing
