This record is in fair+ condition. The yellow and black Parlophone labels are not ideal with quiet a few issues which I will try to outline. Firstly however they have the rim text that states "The Parlophone Co." and the label mentions "Recording first published" but NOT "Sold in the UK". As for the issues these come in the form of numerous spindle marks, a faint pen mark on side 1, clear scratches or damage to side 1 and considerable wear to the centre holes which has caused them to be a little loose(doesnt cause issues to play). Despite all these issues all the text and information on the labels can be distinguished and although not ideal they are also not the worst I have ever seen. Please study the pictures of the labels provided to gain as much information as possible as to their condition.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides have clear signs of use with lots of light scratches, marks and surface lines. There is also light scuffing and a couple of smaller marks that can just about be felt. There is nothing however that is really deep or that can easily be felt with your finger. Overall a clearly well used vintage record which grades as fair visually.
I play tested the record and overall it played surprisingly well. It seems to lay flat on the deck but upon playing there is upward movement or a raise in the arm and so it must have a small warp to it. This is fairly minor however and has no affect on play and of course isnt at a level to cause jumps or problems to the audio. The audio has surface noise in the run in, between tracks and some in the music but nothing at a level to be massively disruptive. It has no stand out clicks in the audio which can destroy huge segments of the audio but does have one(or three)serious problem in track 5 on side 1. This is that towards the end of this track there is a very small and discreet line that causes the needle to skip 3 times in quick succession. This is noticeable, and of course not ideal, but it does occur quickly and passes fairly swiftly. The album then continues through both sides with no such issues and no major problems to report. The audio is not pristine quality however, with some distortion caused by regular use but nevertheless other than the skips I enjoyed both sides and feel the record can still be enjoyed.
To summarise, a clearly well used vintage record that plays with decent audio for the most part but for 3 quick skips in quick succession towards the end of track 5 on side 1.
The sleeve is in good condition. It has wear to the edges and corners(pics), but the text along the spine is still all legible. There are no splits anywhere on the sleeve and despite its clear issues it is actually solid enough. It does have its problems however, with considerable creasing to the laminated front and evidence of taping on both sides(mainly noticeable on rear). There is also a pen mark(name) on the rear near the top edge. Both sides also have some general age related grubbiness and discolouring in places. So overall a far from pristine sleeve but one that is still solid enough and no doubt tells a story. I have tried to describe it as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It contains its 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner which is solid with no splits but does have discolouring and age related grubbiness.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
