Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me / Ask Me Why. Parlophone .. 45-R 4983. 1963.. Supplied to you in a "Type A" style EMI company bag (see scan).
An origiinal red label issue of this classic disc.
The label has the Dick James credit and "Recording First Published 1963", but does not have the "Made In Great Britain" credit.
THe run off groove matrices are -
7XCE 17217-1N
7XCE 17218-1N
Where the tax code is stamped on run off groove it reads from top to bottom "M PT 1" (not an expert on tax codes hope that helps!).
Condition: : The single itself plays nicely with fairly quiet surface wear which is not obtrusive to the music, and no scratch disturbance. Visually it has surface scuffing but this does not affect the sound. There are no deep scratches, and it plays cleanly (except for the moderate and I feel totally acceptable surface wear). The label has a penned name on side A and the same name penned twice on the centre of side B. Moderate spindle marks but looks as though it was played carefully nevertheless. . Graded at VG++ on the basis of the scuffing but is still a nice llstening experience without nasty wear or distortion..
