Description

BEATLES Please Please Me STEREO 4th UK Press 1st Sleeve 1st Matrix 1P/1R Stamper

A rare 4th UK stereo pressing of The Beatles’ debut LP, far less common than the mono equivalent and increasingly sought after in clean, playable condition. Stereo copies from this early period retain the wide separation and powerful early EMI tube-cut sound that defines these first generations of pressings.

This is a 4th UK stereo pressing on the black & yellow Parlophone label with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd" perimeter text and “Made In GT. Britain” at the bottom of the label. The record retains the original -1 / -1 matrices on both sides, indicating it was pressed from the earliest stereo lacquers.

Housed in a 1st press Ernest J. Day printed sleeve with Angus McBean photo credit aligned according to a 1st version sleeve. Complete with original Emitex inner sleeve.
