Description
THE BEATLES
Title : Please Please Me Label : Parlophone Cat No : PMC 1202
Matrix : XEX 421 - 1N / 422-1N Issue : UK 5th Mono Press
This is the 5th Mono press of 'Please Please Me' by The Beatles. The labels are Yellow & Black, with the 'Recording First Published' date. The record is complete with the laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse large mono sleeve and the original Emitex polylined inner sleeve.
The record is in Near Mint condition. The vinyl is in absolutely sensational condition, it has only been played a handful of times. The grooves show no sign of play at all, there are no marks, the vinyl has the original jet black gloss and every track gleams. It is sensational. The only sign of play is the slight spindle wear on the label. It lies completely flat on the turntable. There is the slightest noise at the intro otherwise the sound is without doubt one of the finest we have heard. Extremely bold and clear throughout, sensational clarity and audio separation. It still has the wonderful early heavy vinyl vibrant, complete sound.
The earliest yellow and black Parlophone label is in Excellent condition. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. There is just light spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex polylined inner sleeve also in Excellent condition.
The laminated flipback sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are bold, the laminate has a stunning bright mirrored shine and the picture is extremely clear. There is a little corner wear and the unlaminated back has the just slightest discolouration, but it really is extremely bright. The flipbacks are sealed and complete, the text is sharp and the black is bold. The spine is firm with clear black text on a clean white background.
