The Sleeve: 

FIRST and original Top loading sleeve in Very Good Minus condition, fully laminated with a little shelf wear to top edge and a few small prominent creases from spine and bottom edge. All text legible and pictorials clear and glossy and has held original colour well. Inside the gatefold is very good; smooth, glossy and clean with clear print and unblemished black & white square pictorials of each band member. 'The BEATLES' logo on the front is embossed and raised as it was on all first issue sleeves, and the number is in the 7 digit format also embossed and raised.

The laminate along the length of the spine is partly intact, and all original title and catalogue number text is legible. The lamination is complete on front and rear panels and inside the Gatefold include the centre fold line. The sleeve is firm and flat and intact, including the inner partition.

There are no rips or splits anywhere. The sleeve is sturdy and firm and hold the records and inserts well.

Inner Sleeves: 

Good Plus condition inner sleeves. The 1st pressings of the White Album came with plain black inner sleeves with the label window on one side only. These rarely survive well.

Both are both still quite sturdy and hold the vinyl's well but do have a few centimeter of splits on some edges.

Poster: 

Good Plus Condition. Light stain blemishes, no tears or rips, and has survived well. 

Some creases along lines have manifested into light splits in the paper.

The Four Portrait Photographs: 

Excellent Condition, no marks, and hardly ever removed from the sleeve, and look to have been replaced from a later pressing.

The Vinyl: 

The vinyl surfaces range around Very Good Minus Condition, with some surfaces being better than others. There are no feelable or deep scratches on sides 2, 3, and 4 , just light stylus surface hairline scratch marks/ cleaning trails on these, mainly viewable under strong light. There are no scuffs or warps or dinks in the vinyl or anything that causes any major interferences to the audio. Side 1 has a few stylus scratches that can be felt on the surface rather than deep into the grooves of the vinyl, they cause some audio interference. The glossy sheen is still present and there are is no obvious groove wear. The records have received a number plays commensurate with age and popularity and are in a fairly average condition for an original Mono Pressing, with playable surfaces.

The records lay completely flat on the turntable, and turn flat.

Robust Sixties vinyl's weighing at around 163 grams.

Labels are Good Plus. All text is clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location has a little wear on some, but all fit perfectly on the spindle. Spindle line traces are not heavy and only really show up under light. There is a scuff mark on two of the labels.

The Audio: 

The audio grades at Very Good, most songs play Excellent across the discs. Both discs play through clearly on both sides, with no pops, a little background crackle in places, mainly in intro's and fade-out's, but there are no skips/jumps or sticks anywhere on Sides 2, 3, & 4. There are some audible ticks now and again, where to be expected i.e. the quieter parts on a couple of the tracks on a couple of the sides. Side 1 has jumps and skips towards the end of Bungalow Bill, and ticks that can be heard over the audio on some of the other songs.

 On the majority the records play very well without major detractions, offering a smooth original mono rendition of how The Beatles intended it to be.

The vinyl sides 1, 2, and 4 are all from the first Mono master. This White Album is EXTREMELY RARE as it is generally accepted that only 1 MONO master EVER existed, and further cuts were not made, hence all Original Mono White Albums that come up for sale will have a '-1' suffix number in the dead-wax. However, on this LP, Side 3 has been cut from a Third Mono master (as indicated by XEX 711-3 in the dead-wax) and is also missing a mother stamper! This indicates that it was cut from a third variation MONO master without the need for multiple Mother Stampers, and is probably an experimental or test proof pressing on this side, and sounds a little different and will unlikely be found ever again!

The number on the sleeve is about mid-way for a mono pressing - it is well known that numbers 0000001-0300000 were reserved for Mono and some exports, and that 0300001-0600000 were reserved for Stereo.

This LP will be securely delivered in a professional cardboard LP mailer with cardboard stifferners. 

New plain black generic poly-lined inner sleeves will house the records as shown, and the originals will be placed separately.

A new protective PVC 180 gsm gatefold sleeve is included as shown to house the LP.

This White Album will be delivered by recorded delivery in the UK.

Overseas postage will be tracked and a tracking number given.
