This is the first pressing which began August 5th 1966, and how the Revolver stereo label appeared when it first hit the stores. This is the very first variation label type with Sans Serif font, each song title beginning on a separate line, with the composer credit being followed by the lead singer credit. The misprint 'Dr. Robert' song title name, which was quickly corrected to 'Doctor Robert', also appears on this label and sleeve.

The sleeve is the first and original which housed the 1st stereo pressing.

This is indicated by the small 'stereo' on the front cover's top right, and the incorrect 'DR. ROBERT' on the reverse of the sleeve.

The Side 1 label carries an extra dot in 'Sold in .U.K.', this error was quickly rectified and only appears on a small number of these first stereo labels, making this rarer than most of the first press Revolver stere labels.

 Sleeve: Very Good condition, the laminated front extends over on to flipbacks which have maintained an excellent condition with no damage and only the occasional crease line.

The sleeve is free from ripples, and the front pictorial retains a glossy appearance, and the iconic photograph on the reverse is mark free. There is a small repair to the laminate on one area of the spine, but all other edges and opening seam are neat.

The sleeve is sturdy and firm, and has no tears, rips or handwriting.

Inner Sleeve: Orginal EMI plain advertising plain white PATENTS APPLIED FOR in excellent condition with no splits or rips. 

The Vinyl Disc: Very Good Condition

The vinyl surfaces retain a clean glossy sheen on both sides with no areas of dulling

Side 1 has a fair amount of small light superfical hairline marks visible in bright light, and none that are in any way feelable.

Side 2 has a mirror like shine with only the occasional light hairline mainly visible under stong bright light with the vinyl held angled, and looks excellent.

The record is free from scuffs and warps and lays completely flat on the turntable.

Manufactured on robust heavy 163 gram sixties vinyl.

The labels are Very Good Plus, having quite a neat spindle location point and area around the perimeter with very little wear, and no heavy spindle line traces, with faint ones to see under close scrutiny.

Text is clear and bright with full colour retained. No sticker or sticker residue or writing.

The Gramophone Co. Ltd text around outer rim.

The KT tax code is embossed on the label.

The Audio: Overall Excellent(-)

 The record plays from start to finish smoothly with good stereo clarity and without any major lessening to the original audio such as pops, skips or sticks. 

Track change interludes are smooth and quiet one or two light static ticks on those near the start.

Side 1 plays at Very Good(+). There is the occasional light clicking sound on the first few track, more so on Love You To, but then trails away revealing no other detractions.

Side 2 plays at Excellent. There are a few light ticks here and there, otherwise plays with a crisp clarity throughout with no other detractions to the audio.

 This original 1st press LP looks good and plays well, with some acceptable lessening to the original audio quality, and an LP that is bound to go up in value over time.

The LP will be delivered in a quality double-part cardboard LP mailer with stifferners. 

The record placed separately in a plain generic inner to prevent wear to the original.

Also comes housed in a PVC record protector.

Item will be marked as fragile and sent recorded delivery.
