THE BEATLES REVOLVER. PMC 7009 MONO. ORIGINAL 1966 PRESSING. XEX 605-2/XEX 606-3 MATRICES. EX+/EX+
This is my MO: before listing I always clean LPs on a vacuum record cleaning machine and I always determine audio quality by playing the LP not just by visual inspection.
This is my listening equipment: highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable (easily equal to an LP12), pre/power amps and B&W Matrix Reference speakers. For this LP I have used an Ortofon OM10 MM cartridge.
This is a superb example of the classic Revolver LP. The vinyl has the odd hairline and light mark, but nothing that affects sound quality. There is just a touch of very minor background noise between tracks and to occasional quiet parts (and one click to track three, side two), but otherwise the LP plays flawlessly and gets an Excellent+ from me. It comes in its original sepia EMI advertising inner sleeve.
The laminated flipback cover is the best I have personally seen (and I have seen many). There are some tiny thumbnail creases near the spine, but apart from that this sleeve is as good as you will find. Another strong Excellent+ from me.
