This is the first and original mix of Revolver with the first master matrix containing the famously withdrawn mix of 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. It was a very short lived pressing lasting mostly a week or two and was discontinued. It is purported that John Lennon was not happy with the mix and halted production ... the incorrect edit known as 'Remix 11' on this pressing denoted by the -1 suffix on the Side 2 matrix number had be sent off to be pressed, and it was rectified before too many had been sold. It is so sought after due to the more edgy bass line, and longer length recording of this track predominantly by John, containing more piano and other instrumentals in comparison to later pressings. It has 1st record labels with the misprint 'DR. ROBERT' and original rarer EJ DAY sleeve also with 'DR. ROBERT' misprint and the sleeve and record label.

The Sleeve: 1st & original Flipback sleeve in Very Good/ Very Good Plus Condition.

 Has maintained a good firm shape and holds record well. All text legible and pictorials clear and glossy. All edges straight with hardly any storage wear at all and corners are sharp. Has a little record ring wear evident on the reverse and top flipback has worn away about 2cm. 

The iconic front artwork is superb with no laminate lifting. No rips or splits anywhere.

A clean and neat sleeve with fold over flaps present with complete original text.

No sticker or sticker residue, no writing or writing imprints to the outside cover.

Inner Sleeve : This is the original and correct 'Made In Great Britain' and 'Patents Applied For' EMI plain white inner sleeve. It is in Excellent condition and fully functional with no splits and completely intact with no writing or staining.

The Vinyl: In a Very Good condition. This heavy piece of sixties vinyl has a surface that reflects a bright glossy sheen, having light non-feelable superficial stylus hairlines and wispy trails in several places both sides, more so on Side 2 than Side 1. The vinyl is respectable and most of these lines can only be seen under bright halogen light, but some easy to see in normal light. There are no feelable marks or scratches at all. Both sides are smooth with no dulling areas and don't show any groove wear on the tracks. There is a non feelable scuff on the fist track Good Day Sunshine on Side 2.

 The record lays completely flat on the turntable, and has no warps.

Very heavy robust sixties vinyl weighing at 169 grams.

Labels are Very Good. Text is clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location point has areas of wear and spindle line traces are not particularly heavy. 

KT tax code from the mid-sixties is embossed. SOLD IN U.K. text across label and 

The Gramophone Co. Ltd text around rim.

The text for the song titles is the first and original Sans Serif block capital font.

Mother/ Stamps

The Audio: Very Good. A good listenable playable copy delivering an original mono bass with crisp vocal tracks and instrumentals throughout. There are some repeated clicks on 'Good Day Sunshine' for about halfway as there is a scuff mark. 'Here There And Everywhere' on Side 1 also has clicks but more like regular background pick-up which are softer. That really is the worst of it, and in all this copy is more than acceptable with most tracks playing without any interruptions at all. A few soft ticks in some quieter interludes and lead-in's, but as the songs progress on each side even the lead-in's are quiet. There are absolutely no feelable scratches or marks on the disc.

No major noises such as pops, skips, jumps, no sticks.

The important last track, the withdrawn Tomorrow Never Knows sounds as good as the best of Withdrawn pressings come, there are no interruptions, not even any audible soft ticks or static, and this version of the song track is not available on any other media!

It comes protected by a high grade PVC sleeve as shown.

A plain generic anti-static inner sleeve will house the record and the original will be placed separately.
