Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul 12" 1965 mono 1G stamper original Parlophone LP vinyl press' in overall VERY GOOD+ condition.
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - quite a few hairlines and sleeve removal trials but nothing deep or feelable. Rated as VERY GOOD+. Label is VERY GOOD+.
- Side 2 - a few more hairlines than Side 1 but nothing feelable. Rated as VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD+.
Audio:
- In my opinion, the audio is VERY GOOD in places and VERY GOOD+ in other places!! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! There is some background crackle throughout but it never really interferes with the punchy mono audio! More noticeable in the quieter parts but again, nothing that is overbearing or interfering. Still sounds nice and punchy with, in my opinion, the best mono mix of Rubber Soul! Lies flat and plays well.
The original EMITEX inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition! NO SPLITS, TEARS or WRITING!! Only problem is that it is discoloured but it hoses the record very well!
The original flipback mono sleeve is 100% intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as VERY GOOD+! The front of the sleeve is clean with light laminate creasing, light edgewear, a small scuff and very light ringwear. It's a very nice sleeve and these are only minor issues - PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!! The rear of the sleeve is nice and clean with slight discolouration and a very small pen mark by the track 'In My Life'. Flipbacks are tight, just have some light creasing and age-related wear. Spine is 100% readable with light creases here and there.
Overall, a great record to play and listen to, with a rare 1G stamper, housed in a nice strong clean sleeve!!
