This is the first and original uncut mix of Rubber Soul with the first master matrices on both sides. It was a short lived pressing and was discontinued shortly after xmas 1965. It is referred to as the Loud Cut due to its more edgy, punchy bass line in comparison to later pressings. It has 1st record labels and original sleeve and is how Rubber Soul appeared when it first hit the stores.

The Sleeve: 1st & original Flipback sleeve in Very Good Condition.

Moderate storage wear on corners, and some more noticeable along top edge and on back. Has maintained a good firm shape and holds record well. All text legible and pictorials clear and glossy. Some very mild record ring wear and a few tiny creases from the spine. The iconic front photo is superb, this is the darker image (later prints had a light green hue, and a lighter red 'Rubber Soul'). This is the original photograph with the tear on John Lennon's right shoulder not yet air-brushed out!

A clean and neat sleeve. All lamination completely intact. No sticker or sticker residue, no writing.

Inner Sleeve : This is the original and correct EMI Emitex 'Made In England' tracing paper lined inner sleeve. It is very good condition and fully functional with no splits and is intact inside.

The Vinyl: In Very Good condition. The vinyl surfaces retain a bright black glossy finish, having a fair amount of light feint non-feelable superficial hairlines and wispy sleeve/ cleaning trails, and some light scuffs on Side 2. Any blemishes mainly visible under stong direct light, some visible in normal light, nothing causing any major audio setbacks. Both sides have a mirror like shine and are smooth and don't show any groove wear. Clean vinyl surfaces. The record lays completely flat on the turntable, with has no warps.

Very heavy robust sixties vinyl weighing at 172 grams.

Labels are Very Good. Text is clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location point has fine spindle wear and spindle line traces are quite numerous but not too heavy. 

KT tax code from the mid-sixties is embossed. SOLD IN U.K. text across label and 

The Gramophone Co. Ltd text around rim.

The text for the song titles is the first and original Sans Serif block capital font. The loud cut was only pressed for a few weeks, but during this time it was changed to  Times New Roman font which can be found on some of the 'Loud-Cut's', and the second presses. It was changed back to Sans-Serif block text in mid-1966 on the second pressings.

The Audio: The audio is Excellent Minus overall having no major detractions such as pops, skips, jumps or sticks. Overall the vinyl surfaces deliver a full bass sound and the record plays smoothly with a crisp and clear audio. There are noticeable background ticks on most of the quiet sections i.e. track change interludes and lead-in's to the track audio, otherwise no other issues.

A plain generic inner sleeve will house the record and the original will be placed separately.
