THE BEATLES RUBBER SOUL PARLOPHONE PMC1267 - matrces: XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1.
RECORD/SLEEVE: This is the first pressing of Rubber Soul. Dubbed the 'loud cut' because when listening to the final mix the Beatles weren't happy as the bass was too loud! They quickly halted production, but some got through the net - this being one!!! The heavy slab of first press vinyl is in wonderful condition!! The vinyl still has a brand new gleam to it and shows only a small amount of light hairlines in strong light and the odd little scuff! In normal light the playing surface looks almost new!! There is name only the label but this doesn't detract from the great playing quality - only light crackle in between tracks!!! The disc grades a really strong 'Excellent'!!
The sleeve too is very nice!! There is a crease on the front, with a few small laminate creases there also! But in general, the front looks nice and glossy! The back does have a bit of discolouring but no physical issues (see pics) grades a strong 'Very Good +'!!
