THE BEATLES - "RUBBER SOUL" - VINYL LP
PARLOPHONE - MONO - PMC 1267 - 1965 - UK 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX
Rare very 1st UK pressing with the incorrect 'loud cut' mix of the album which was quickly withdrawn and is indicated by the 1/1 matrix endings in the run-outs.
1st UK mono pressing on the yellow/black Parlophone label with the XEX 579-1/YEX 580-1 matrices, 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' rim text and 'Sold In U.K.' label text.
Comes with the very 1st issue laminated flipback sleeve by EJ Day, date-coded with the release date on the bottom edge ('6512' i.e. December 1965 - Rubber Soul was released on December 3rd)

CONDITION (vinyl/cover)
VG+ (visually the record looks VG with light wear & light sleeve removal scuffs/marks, but it still retains a nice shine and there are no deep or significant scratches; the labels show a normal amount of spindlemarks with no sign of excessive play and no sticker damage, however the owner's name is written on both; I play-graded the album in full and can confirm it plays brilliantly with no significant surface noise, no obvious crackle, clicks or pops and just some very faint crackle in the gaps between songs; there is some sound deterioration in 'Michelle' at the end of side 1 which is a familiar issue with this record and makes the overall grading VG+, but it does not spoil the song, and otherwise the record plays EX with a lovely strong clear sound)
/ EX- (the laminated flipback sleeve is in very nice solid condition with flat uncreased surfaces, tight flipbacks and sharp unworn edges/spine; there is just some light shelfwear to the front laminate and minor storage marks/discolouration to the rear; no splits, no writing, no tears, no obvious creases; overall a great example of this 1st issue sleeve, rare to find by EJ Day (rather than Garrod & Lofthouse) with the '6512' release-date code)
comes with the original 'tracing paper' Emitex inner sleeve which grades VG+ with some creasing but no splits, tears or writing
