Hi, I started collecting vinyl Lp's and 45's in 1971, I have 20,000 + which I have moved now 4 times, and about to move again next year. So it's time to let at least half go. Most are in at least Excellent condition.  I can't listen to them all, so most will only have visual grading, any with a high start price, I will listen too, and play grade.

ALBUM INFO:

In collecting records for a number of decades, I suppose this is one of the holy grails, the Beatles and George Martin's finest hour! One of two of my personal favorite Beatles albums, with the Iconic album cover by Bob Freeman, an album that raised the bar for every music artist, recorded in just 4 weeks in the London EMI studios, being in the studio constantly during it's recording it showed, making the album more cohesive, all 14 songs were original due to no commitments during it's making. The album has a folk rock feel with soulful pop as well, a true masterpiece.. it broke new boundaries of recording techniques . This their sixth studio album on Parlophone Records on the 3rd December 1965 this is the very Rare original MONO 1st PRESS of The BEATLES...SEMINAL...6TH Studio Album....RUBBER SOUL......This Original 1965 Press is so Rare, as so few copies were kept in this condition, making it hard to find. Beatles Original Mono albums hardly ever turn up in this amazing condition, as in 1965 most people didn't have good Stereo equipment so most stereo records were ruined by being played on dancette type of gramophone. With heavy playing arms that often damaged the vinyl.    A true BEATLES Classic!  You would be hard pushed to see a better vinyl record, looks hardly played. With EARLIEST Matrix Numbers . In 1960's/70's most people owned the old fashion type of Radio Grams, I don't need to tell you how many Lp's got scratched and ruined by heavy weighted arms and metal needles.  This is the SUPERIOR UK EARLY PRESS version... So hard to find in any playable condition, as they have been squirrelled away in collections or worse thrown away, Nearly all copies that turn up have terribly worn Covers, mostly with the owners name written on them. I believe that there are very few better Beatles albums, you would be hard pushed to find better.

The EMI PARLOPHONE sleeve is laminated front, and a plain unlaminated back plate, without any Major creasing, NO WRITING OR MARKS.  An opportunity to own a Mega Rare true BEATLES classic.

NEAR MINT : - . GLOSSY LOOKS FLAWLESS The vinyl is bright and has a shine, with No Distortion, No jumps, No Clicks, No Needle damage OR scratches.

Under strong illumination there is really fine wispy hairlines.

SLEEVE:

NEAR MINT:- .  ALL Near Mint just Look at the photo's..... with a wonderfully clean laminated front sleeve, remarkable consider it's age,  has no laminate lift, splits or tears, the back is white with NO writing or tears, please look at the photos the cover is prone to wear due to the lack of care, in the 60's most lp's were either passed around and taken to parties, which lead to a lot of albums have owners names in biro on them, rare in this condition as they were not cheap at the time at £3.+ the average wage being £35 at the time. Most copies were played to death. This Sleeve is in amazing condition.

INNER SLEEVE:

EXCELLENT. Original EMITEX type, ...being the very fragile inner sleeve is a great indicator of the amount of usage the album has had. I would say the inner is one of the best you could find! and considering how fragile these are.....they are 49 years old, quite unbelievable intact condition.

LABELS:

ORIGINAL YELLOW & BLACK With "SOLD IN THE UK SUBJECT TO RESALE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS" across the center , THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD. Very light spindle wear , which indicates few plays, Very Clean, light spindle marks, no damage or writing.

GRADING SYSTEM: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
