Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul' 1965 UK press MONO vinyl LP!

This particular pressing is the very first 'common' MONO pressing of Rubber Soul, released in 1965. By 'common', I mean that it is not the first Loud Cut pressings that were seen as poorly mixed...they still sound pretty good in my opinion! It features the larger Times New Roman font on both labels, comes with the original EMITEX inner sleeve and the original mono flipback sleeve! DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Condition:

Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - lots of light scratches and a large scratch across 5 tracks. NONE OF THESE ARE FEELABLE OR DEEP! Looks like it's been enjoyed but looked after considering it is over 50 years old! Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD. 

                      Side 2 - one small, light scratch on track 1 - please read on for an audio play test. Elsewhere, light scratches and marks. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD. 

Audio: I have play tested this album in it's entirety. The audio is graded as VERY GOOD! There is some crackle that is evident throughout - more noticeable on the quieter passages but never too intrusive and a deep clean could help with this! There is a stick/jump on the very very start of Side 2...could be cleaned out but it is definitely that scratch mentioned above...Could clean out but i think the disc has a very very slight 'warp'. Don't be afraid by the word warp though, it's only very slight and doesn't affect the album anywhere else! The mono audio is very punchy and the bass is rich with crisp highs. Thoroughly enjoyable to listen to, classic 60s sound! 

Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is currently in GOOD condition! It has 2 splits - one on the side and one on the bottom. They are about 3-4" long. It also has some discolouration and creases but it does house the record extremely well. 

Sleeve: The original 1965 MONO flipback sleeve is currently rated as a strong GOOD+! The front of the sleeve has creasing and ringwear with some edgewear but no rips, tears or splits. Light laminate peel in places but it's very small. Colour is still strong and looks great! The rear of the sleeve has some creases towards the edges and corners and some discolouration. However, there is no graffiti, writing or pen marks and the flipbacks are held down tightly with some creasing. The spine is 100% readable with a light crease the 'R' in Rubber Soul. Houses the record perfectly.
