Description
The Beatles - Rubber Soul *RARE* Capitol JAMAICAN PRESSING Stereo Vinyl LP
This a really interesting LP, pressed in Jamaica for Capitol.
The sleeve was probably shipped from the US, as was often the practice when records were pressed in other small countries.
Text on the label reads "Record pressed in Jamaica from a Capitol Records, Inc. U.S.A recording"
The label is of the Capitol Rainbow Circle type with the logo to the left of the hole over a tapered line. This type of label was phased out in the US in 1962 but still seems to be in use in 1965 in Jamaica.
The catalogue number on the sleeve is the one normally asscociated with a US Stereo copy of Rubber Soul, ST2442 but on the label the number is T-2442, the normal mono number, however the word "Stereo" is printed above it.
The matrix number on th erunout on side one is ST1-2442 - B8 # 4 and on side two ST2-2442 X X 11
I don't know when it was pressed but it's probably1965.
The Cover is in a fair condition, with sellotape round the edges. A previous owner has written her name on the back. The Record is good, with several light scuff marks. I am not able to play it, so cannot comment on the quality. A previous owner has written her name on the lables on both sides. The inner sleeve is plain white uncoated paper. Dont know if it's original.
