Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul 12" 1969 RARE ONE BOX stereo EMI Parlophone pressing LP vinyl' in overall VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition!
This is particularly rare as it features a sleeve manufactured by Ernest J. Day! This is rarely seen on a stereo sleeve for Rubber Soul so don't miss out!!
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - a couple of very light marks but nothing feelable! VERY CLEAN! The gloss and shine is fantastic! Doesn't really look as if it's been played that much! Rated as EXCELLENT+! Label is EXCELLENT-.
- Side 2 - same as Side 1!
Audio:
- The audio is currently rated as NEAR MINT-/NEAR MINT!! I have played this all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO STICKS and NO JUMPS on my system!! BARELY ANY CRACKLE!! There is SO MUCH clarity present in this record! Even on 'Michelle', there is barely any crackle and the clarity is superb! Pretty much sounds the same as it would've sounded in 1969!! THE BEST ONE BOX RUBBER SOUL I HAVE EVER HEARD!! The audio is crisp, punchy and LOUD! The highs are perfectly crisp and the lows have a rich bass tone that punch through the mix! It's fantastic! A really really great sounding copy! Lies very flat and plays very well!
The inner sleeve provided is a plain inner sleeve that doesn't belong to this record. It is a bit tatty but houses the record OK.
The original RARE EJ DAY stereo flipback sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD!! The front of the sleeve does have some laminate creasing and regular creasing, particularly near the opening edge. It also has some slight ringwear. The rear of the sleeve is slightly discoloured and stained towards the right edge. It also has some damage on Ringo's and George's face. (One theory could be that this was a kind of prototype sleeve as some of the images appear grainy and there are some small ink blotches by George). The fipbacks are tight but unfortunately they do have some age-related discolouration and staining. The spine is slightly discoloured and slightly pinched but it is still 100% readable!
I HAVE JUST ATTEMPTED TO CLEAN THE FLIPBACKS AND NOW THE SLEEVE LOOKS LIKE THIS:

Overall, a great looking disc that sounds SUPERB, with a great rare sleeve!
