THE BEATLES : LET IT BE 1970 UK BOX SET (PXS 1)
This rare UK box set, designed by John Kosh, comes entirely complete with: outer slip-case, both inner trays (almost), LP and exclusive softback book showing candid colour and black and white pictures by Ethan A. Russell of The Beatles during the filming and recording.
The PXS 1 catalogue number did not appear anywhere on the package and was just used for ordering purposes.
Outer Slipcase: VERY GOOD
Strong and clean and still retaining its high gloss laminate. There are some small creases to the laminate and A little wear to the edges and corners, there is a very little tear on the front near bottom left side which is about 1.5cm long (see photo). The rear shows a few light marks to the laminate and minor creases but NO splits, tears or major damage.
Inner: GOOD
considering the fragility of these component it's not surprising that both inner trays are only in good condition. The book holding try has some of it missing (see photo) and the outer record holding try is complete and in not bad condition (see photo).
Book: EXCELLENT +
Super complete copy with a firm 'uncracked' spine with NO loose or missing pages.
I would say this book has hardley been read, this copy has the credits printed on page 8. It's very rare to find this book complete without any loose pages and as in such excellent condition as this.
There is no taxcode visible on the side one label.
Housed in a fully laminated, thin card 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the RED Apple logo on the rear.
Complete with original white 'Patent..' inner-sleeve. Matrix numbers: YEX 773-2U & YEX 774-2U
Stamper numbers: 1 RO & 3 OD (track one side two sticks near the beginning, other then that there are some very light surface marks probably due to bag rash and the record plays in very good condition)
Labels: EXCELLENT Both labels are very clean & tidy with very bright and unfaded text. Both sides have M , S , M stamped on them not sure what this means or why it's there ? (see photo) Cover: VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT MINUS Very clean retaining its high gloss laminate, and showing some light creases and light storage wear. The corners opening edge show some very light wear, The spine and all seams are strong and unsplit. Most of my 800 feedback has been gained by selling records so bid in complete confidence.
