Description
THE BEATLES – Revolver ORIG Parlophone LP / PCS 7009 (UK, Stereo, 1966)
Happy to present this black and yellow original UK stereo press of what many consider to be the Fabs’ greatest long player.
The matrices are YEX 605-1/YEX 606-1. KT tax code embossed to Side 2.
Mothers/Stampers: Side 1 - 2 R D / Side 2 - 3 R R
See photos for label text.
The front laminated flipback sleeve is in a nice solid EX- (Excellent Minus) condition. Some age toning, a few creases towards the opening edges, small patch of sticker residue top front left, some corner softening and slight ring impression to the rear panel. No splits, tears or writing and still maintaining good shape, lying flat and strong. Excellent spine too with no chipping or scrapes.
The labels are in very good condition. They show a fair amount of spindle evidence, more to Side 2 than Side 1. Some slight wear around the centre hole (not much). No writing or other damage.
The vinyl has evidently been enjoyed in the past and shows quite a bit of marking. HOWEVER IT PLAYS EXCELLENT! Visually, there are some small surface scratches, several hairlines and some scuffing including a larger, more prominent scuff to Side 2 (see Photo 6). The marking is generally light and this bears out during the playback. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and there are no real audio worries. Occasional very quiet surface static and a few light ticks here and there under, never over, the music. NO snap, crackle, loud pops, hiss, distortion or loss of definition. NO STICKS OR JUMPS. Visually books in at a solid and true VG- (Very Good Minus) but the play grade is more towards EX (Excellent). If you’re looking for good black & yellow Stereo play, then this fits the bill.
No reserve.

PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO UNDERSTAND MY GRADES!
I do not use any more than ONE plus or minus between grades. After all, WHAT ON EARTH DOES VG+++++ MEAN? What is NM+? Or EX---? These are just some of the ridiculous gradings I’ve encountered on eBay. I am very careful using the EX (Excellent) grade. Excellent, by dictionary definition means‘extremely good’ NOT ‘marked and slightly beat up with wear’!
