THE BEATLES' 'RUBBER SOUL' LP, (UK version), as released on the Parlophone label, this is a barely played & hard to find 1965/Second Press of 14-track VINYL LP in MONO. PMC 1267.

GEORGE MARTIN'S FINAL CORRECTION -5 -5 matrix numbers, 'XEX 579-5' 'XEX 580-5'.

On initial visual inspection this vinyl's playing surface looks ABSOLUTELY NEW, retaining its original very glossy sheen, with no dulling. It is absolutely flawless, no scratches, no hairlines and no scuffs or signs of handling. On close inspection, there are at most 2/3 light spindle traces per label to indicate that this record has been played. It lies perfectly flat on the turntable. This record is housed in a Near Mint condition sleeve complete with the the original EMITEX advertising inner sleeve in remarkable condition. No tearing or wearing. The sleeve has crisp corners and only a few very minor creases. There is a little age related discolouration, but more importantly this sleeve has hardly ever been handled.

Grading to UK Record Collector magazine standards:

VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT.

The vinyl surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen with no dulling. The vinyl lies totally flat.

VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT+.

Sensational audio reproduction throughout with a clean, vibrant, well balanced sound that is held in the highest esteem by many audiophiles. There are no clicks, ticks, or jumps, and only very little background/surface noise. Strictly graded EXCELLENT+ for audio. Remarkable for an lp that is 45 years old! Playback sound showed no signs of groove wear or distortion.

LABELS: EXCELLENT+.

Yellow/black parlophone labels which have the embossed 'kt' tax code on side one, 'the gramophone co ltd' rim text and 'sold in uk... 'statement. Only 2/3 light spindle traces per label to indicate that this record has been played.

SLEEVE: NEAR MINT.

The original GARROD & LOFTHOUSE fully laminated flip-back cover in Near Mint condition, with hardly any storage-wear worth mentioning. It has crisp, sharp edges and a spine with text that is clear and bold. The sleeve has no ring wear, only very, very minor creasing and only the gentlest record impression in places. The opening edges are firm with no trace of feathering, indicating that the vinyl has rarely seen the light of day. The unlaminated back is very clean, and is unmarked.
The original inner sleeve is as new.
