Sleeve: Excellent

The semi-gloss printed Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve  has slight print rub from storage on the bottom edge and a few very light creases at spine.

Inner Sleeve:  Near Mint

The EMI date coded 3/81 (March 1981) is unmarked and retains its new appearance, no splits. 

Labels: Near Mint

Both labels are unmarked and without spindle trace lines.

Vinyl Visually: Near Mint

The vinyl surfaces have only one to two extremely light paper sleeve wispy lines when viewing under the light of an unforgiving halogen spot-lamp. Normal daylight both surfaces appear immaculate.   

Audio Quality: Near Mint

A clean sounding vinyl on both sides, that plays brilliantly without any background or surface noise, clicks and audio faults within the pressing. Some very occasional light static ticks were noted between tracks during the loud play test, though not unexpected from this media.

Grading Records:

The photos within this advertisement are of the record offered for sale. I do not use stock images or previously used photographs.

This record has been checked visually both under normal daylight and under a strong under halogen spot-lamp. Every record I sell has been checked for its audio quality and played through completely on both sides. I check to ensure that they are flat on the rotating turntable.

I grade all records using The Record Collectors grading system, visually grading the vinyl surfaces, labels, inner sleeve and cover, adding a single (+Plus) if I believe the quality is slightly better.

The Record Collectors Grading System:

MINT: The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra Items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing of edges, of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.

I take great care in the dispatch of records and only use strong cruciform packaging. Every record is placed within a new poly-lined inner before its dispatch to you. The vinyl and sleeve are separated to decrease the likelihood of damage to sleeves. 

I can offer combine postage for two records for the same cost as sending one. I aim to dispatch the next working day from your payment.
