PRESSED ON QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH THE FIRST YELLOW/BLACK PARLOPHONE LABELS WHICH HAVE THE EMBOSSED 'KT' TAX CODE ON SIDE ONE, "THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD" RIM TEXT AND "SOLD IN UK..." STATEMENT
MATRIX NUMBERS: YEX 178-2 / YEX 179-2

THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED TRI-FLIPBACK SLEEVE "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending"
AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL GREASE-PROOF PAPER LINED EMITEX INNER SLEEVE
Side 1: DRIVE MY CAR / NORWEGIAN WOOD / YOU WON'T SEE ME / NOWHERE MAN / THINK FOT YOURSELF / THE WORD / MICHELLE
Side 2: WHAT GOES ON / GIRL / I'M LOOKING THROUGH YOU / IN MY LIFE / WAIT / IF I NEEDED SOMEONE / RUN FOR YOUR LIFE
LABELS: The labels are clean and unmarked (the embossed KT tax code is clear) with just a little wear on the spindle hole but spindle rubbing indicative of numerous plays - VERY GOOD+
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen with no dulling. There is a superficial mark across the first three tracks on Side one and a circular mark (just feel-able to the touch) on "What Goes On" but none of these are of any audio consequence whatsoever - the playback is superb - visually VERY GOOD+
VINYL Audio: Sensational audio reproduction throughout with a clean, crisp, sharp and vibrant sound and incredibly detailed stereo separation - each instrumental and vocal part is crystal clear with an 'in-the-room' immediacy which sounds stunning. On playback at a loud volume there are no scratches, no sticks or jumps, no surface noise (the run-ins and track divisions are practically silent) and no loud clicks or pops. Despite having received a lot of play, the sound quality throughout is superb - all frequencies are bright and clear and there is no discernible groove-wear and no sound deterioration. Critically graded EXCELLENT+ for audio (if not better, as the sound is practically flawless) I would say this copy has only ever been played on very high-end Stereo equipment (at the time the preserve of only serious classical/jazz enthusiasts as Stereo set-ups were generally expensive) which, in my opinion, accounts for the lack of groove-wear/audio deterioration on this copy (even though it's obviously been well played)
SLEEVE: The G&L front laminated flipback cover has crisp, sharp edges and spine with all spine text clear and bold. The laminated front has a deep gloss with very little rubbing, no ring wear and only minor creasing and the unlaminated back is very clean. There is however, a clear tape repair to a split on the central top edge (very neat and barely noticeable) but otherwise the sleeve is EXCELLENT
And the original EMITEX inner is clean, fresh and unmarked with no splits - EXCELLENT
