Description
The Beatles' Second Album Parlophone, 1965 CPCS 103 Made in Gt. Britain
Grading (I use the Goldmine grading system): Record: EX Sleeve: VG+
Up for sale here is a genuine UK FIRST PRESSING of The Beatles Second Album, released on the yellow and black Parlophone label in 1965, with Paul McCartney's name misspelled "McCarthy" after the second song on the A-side label (see pictures). This indicates a true first pressing and makes this one of the rarest UK Beatles LP's around.
Matrix numbers (stamped): A side: YEEX 110-A9 B side: YEEX 111-A9. 1A stampers. No tax code on labels.
The record is graded EX. Some faint hairlines/paper scuffs visible under a strong light, can't be either felt or heard, this record is in excellent collector's conditon. Play grade is no less than MINT.
Front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is a strong VG+. Some creases at the opening (see pictures) and minor creasing along the edges, otherwise in great condition. Spine is fully intact. NO splits, NO rips or tears, NO writing. Please see pictures for condition.
The labels show some spindle marks on both sides but nothing serious. There's a bit of wear over the "Made in Gt Britain" part on the b-side (see pictures), by the looks of it caused when it was manufactured. Other than that both labels are very clean.
A beautiful copy of this Beatles' collector's holy grail. Satisfaction guaranteed!
