THE BEATLES. SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND. 1ST PRESS STEREO PCS 7027 ORIGINAL 'FLAME' INNER SLEEVE & CUT-OUT INSERT. YELLOW & BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL. LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER WITH INTERNAL FLIPBACK. GRAMOPHONE CO LTD TEXT AND "SOLD IN UK.." TEXT. YEX 637-1/YEX 638-1 MATRIX NUMBERS. GRADES EXCELLENT.
My listening equipment is a highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable with Glanz MC cartridge, pre/power amps and Castle speakers.
There is just touch of very, very minor background noise between tracks and to occasional quiet parts. Side two has a light 'waxy' mark to track one which is of no audio consequence and the record grades Excellent.
The labels are excellent with very few visible spindle marks. Side one lable has the embossed KT tax code. The insert with the cut-outs is intact. The original 'flame' inner sleeve is has a small 2cm tear to the top. The laminated gatefold sleeve is excellent with just a few small thumbnail creases to the laminate and a little splitting of the laminate to the spine.
A very fine example of the rarer first press stereo.
