Description

THE BEATLES SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND LP

Catalogue number: PMC 7027

1st UK mono pressing with mega rare "Fourth Proof "sleeve.

The Fourth Proof was the final version fo the various "prototypes" that were explored by Beatles when cover was designed: this is the very first sleeve version.

Black and yellow Parlophone label with ''The Gramophone Co.'' in the perimeter and "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS." statement printed at the center of the label. The song "A Day In The Life" is printed on the side 2 label.

Tax code "K and T" letters embossed on side 2.

Gatefold laminated sleeve with flipback at inner spread top, printer name credit: "Printed and made  by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending".

Complete with insert (full-color images for cut-out) and red half-tone 'psychedelic' inner.

Vinyl ha some signs of use but plays very well, I would rate VG+

Matrix numbers:

Side A: XEX 637 -1

Side B: XEX 638 -1
