FIRST PRESSING
**********************************************************
A 1967 first UK pressing from the brilliant Beatles, who were prolific in the recording studio - and due to their then recent retirement from touring and playing live, they concentrated on recording.
This album is rated as their finest work ...and actually the finest by ANY artist!
However... not much by them was ever 'second rate' (proof of which can be heard on their singles 'b' sides!).
In the studio they were still the top band - the best in the world then, and now.
This FIRST UK MONO EDITION is special and still an essential album if collecting The BEATLES original releases.
At this point Stereo was the prime format, but producers were still working with few channels and had yet to fully exercise the format. George Martin focused with the group on the mono mix foremost.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VERY GOOD, with several flecks and some surface scuff, with a nice shine.
Playing reveals some crackle, the music still dominates and as a rare format is a collectable edition.
Labels are VG+, no stickers or tears.
Few spindle lines visible, KT tax code.
The first print LAMINATED FLIPBACK GATEFOLD COVER is VG, and has the 'Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.' credit.
The RED to WHITE CUSTOM POP-ART INNER is included, clean and bright.
There's no gimmick cutout card.
See pictures.
