Description
Here I offer the TRUE first pressing (U.S.) in MONO of the greatest album of all time: The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, a cherished relic of the 20th Century--a real golden treasure from rock n' roll history. To any Beatlemaniac, this is the ultimate acquisition--hand's down.
The reason I stress "true" is because people are selling early pressings all over EBAY as "first pressings," which is in no way the same thing. Since this is the TRUE first U.S. pressing, I'll tell you how to know for sure: it says "NEMS" nowhere on the back cover. Not on the right, not on the left, not next to the spine, nowhere. TRUE first pressing. It also weighs more than later pressings. This is the Capital "rainbow" label on that old heavy vinyl which produces much fuller sound--with "A Little Help from My Friends" title (no "With") on the label (the song title is "With a Little...," originally misprinted on both the label and back cover--corrected on later labels--cover graphics were never corrected,) beautiful gatefold cover, psychedelic album sleeve and original insert of cut-outs. It is all here.
The sleeve is rated VG+ and has some very minor corner wear and some very minor ring wear.
The record is rated VG+ and has some minor surface scuffing and some light surface scratches that don't affect playback. The record still has a great shine.
If you have any questions about the item feel free to send them my way. I tend to grade conservatively so the item may be in better condition than what I rate it as. I take my seller score very seriously so if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, send me a message and I am sure we can work something out. All records will be shipped USPS Media Mail.
