UK PARLOPHONE (PMC 7027) 1967 ORIGINAL YELLOW & BLACK LABEL MONO LP
Original UK mono pressing of Sgt. Pepper. Gatefold cover has "flaps" on the inside and is clean except for (1) a 2-inch split to the top center seam, and (2) the back cover, if you tilt it in the light, has had a piece of paper on top of it at some point that someone wrote on; there is no actual writing on the back, but the lamination shows the imprint of that writing when tilted just so. I mention this simply because if I don't and you win this when you notice it you would think, "Hmmm... that guy should have mentioned this." The spine is clean. I don't know if all UK copies came with the same insert and sleeve that US copies did but if so, they aren't here. The disc is on the original yellow & black Parlophone label and is, for some reason, unbanded on both sides. Side two has some very very light marks and plays fine, side one has one scratch that runsacross about 3/5ths of the side and causes a light "tick" in quiet places, so VG side 1 VG++ side 2. Overall a nice copy of a rare LP.
