Up for auction is:
The Beatles Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
Capitol SMAS-2653, Black Rainbow Label
Black Rainbow Label with "a subsidiary of Capitol" rim print, Issued in 1968-1969. By this time , the custom inner sleeve was phased out, although the album was still packaged with the thick Sgt. Pepper cut-out sheet for this album. A limited run with a defective stamper made by the Jacksonville factory from the "W9" master has noticable drop-out in one of the channels during most of "Good Morning, Good Morning". This is merely a pressing error and not a different mix of the song, some collectors have sought out this oddity!
This album was play tested and does have this drop out on the song Good Morning, Good Morning, and has the W9 stamp on the black rim of the vinyl. No skips on the vinyl, flat sounding and no noise in between songs, Sound is perfect. Vinyl does show surface scratches and has a black marker on the label on side 2. Label side 1 in mint condtion, Cut-outs are included. Gatefold cover does have ink loss on the front and ring wear on the back. spine is very good, and cover does show wear on the top and bottom no seam splits, wear to all corners.
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me. Thanks and good Luck!!!
