Description
This is an original UK 1st Press of The Beatles "White Album" in Mono. It is a reasonably early numbered edition and has low numbered stampers and mothers.
The album is a bit of a mixed bag condition wise and I will describe as best I can the flaws below.
Vinyl:
Matrixes: side 1: XEX 709-1, side 2: 710-1, side 3: 711-1, side 4: 712-1
Mothers: side 1: 1, side 2: 3, side 3: 2, side 4: 1
Stampers: side 1 - HR, Side 2 - HH, side 3, PH, Side 4 - RM
VINYL AND SOUND:
Firstly the records have LOTS of light marks and scratches on all sides. None are deep but looking at the vinyl isn't pretty. The records have obviously been left in piles of other records and have been scuffed through contact with other un-sleeved records. However I have play tested these and they play remarkably well. The only major issue is a 6 second jump in Back In The USSR. The rest of the tracks on all 4 sides play decently throughout. There is some light background crackle in places and the odd click. The sound certainly isn't NM but the record is still very good throughout and not at all bad to listen to. It honestly play grades VG+ through at least 90% of the album with barely any lessening of sound on most tracks and only light "fuzz" in some of the quieter passages.

SLEEVE:
The outer gatefold sleeve is lightly discoloured and has some wear to the spine and opening seam but is free from rips and tears and any major damage. the Beatles is still legible on the spine. It has very light ring wear but is certainly comparable to other VG+ copies on sale elsewhere on ebay. (See photos).
Overall VG/VG+
It is numbered No:0073452 and the opening seam is on the top.
It comes with the original black inner sleeves which are intact but a bit tatty around the edges. VG
It does not have the photos or poster!!!
Overall this isn't a bad copy to listen too and is pretty good sonically. Would make a good copy to listen to at parties where you don't want to risk an excellent copy being trashed. It would be equally good as a collection filler till you can find or afford a better copy.
