Description
So, after five decades of collecting vinyl and Hi-Fi, the time has finally come to downsize. Over the next few months, with great reluctance, I will be gradually selling off my treasured collection of records, cds and hi-fi equipment. It will take a while !!! For instant sale is an excellent condition copy of an early stereo pressing of 'THE WHITE ALBUM' by THE BEATLES. This early pressing has :
- 'THE BEATLES' in embossed lettering on the front
- the number 0379129 imprinted on the front
- Stereo imprinted on the back
- 'Top-opening' laminated gatefold cover
- 'EMI recording' text on labels for side 1 and 2 ONLY
- black inner sleeves with a die-cut opening on one side to show the Apple label
- a 'wide' spine
It also has the collage poster included but the 4 glossy photos are missing.
The overall condition of both the sleeve and vinyl is excellent and the album would be a superb addition to any record collection. The sleeve is in overall excellent condition. However, there are some marks on the front right-hand side which you can see in the photos, a bit of wear on the corners and a little bit of ringwear. No writing or other marks. The spine is sharp and clean and the original black inner sleeves are also in excellent condition. Please study all the photos to see the condition for yourself. The labels are in excellent condition with a few 'spindle trails'. The records are also in excellent condition with just a few surface marks from the paper inner sleeves. They play really well in high quality with only occasional surface noise/'crackle' mainly between tracks and at the start of a side. However, there are a few annoying clicks during 'Blackbird' but they are far and away the worst bits of noise on the album. Even with those clicks, I honestly think you would be hard-pressed to find a better example of this incredible album. The album will be wrapped in bubblewrap before posting to ensure that it does not get damaged on its journey. I will dispatch it in a proper record mailer and will post within one working day of purchase by second class 'tracked' post so that it gets on its way to you as soon as possible.
