Considered to be one of most Influential and Iconic Albums of the 20th Century, this is an original 1968 UK Apple Records ** FIRST ISSUE MONO** two vinyl LP Set for The Beatles White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

This Set is 100% COMPLETE, and has a top opening, Gate-fold mono Sleeve with, two original UK first issue mono LP's, Four original 1968 Full Colour glossy photographs – one of each Beatles, an original Large Format, Double Sided, 1968 Lyric Poster  printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two original 1968 black inner record bags. The set is housed within its original, First Issue, Fully Laminated top opening numbered, No.0082538  gate-fold Sleeve.

LP Description/Condition:

The two First Issue mono Vinyl LP's are on the traditional Dark Green and Half Apple Record Labels, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale label text.

All four record labels in Excellent condition, undamaged record labels, vivid Black Print, with just a few signs of play to the centre spindle holes on each label.

All four sides of the vinyl LP’s are in Very Good Plus condition, the vinyl LP’s still retain their gloss shine, with just light surface hairline scratches, no deep scratches or scuffs. Both LP’s play with great sound quality with light background crackle on the quieter tracks, but overall a great 6/10 for mono sound quality.

Side 1 matrix XEX 709-1 & Side 2 XEX 710-1. 

Side 1 stampers 7 G M R  & Side 2 stampers are 3 H T.

Side 3 matrix: XEX 711-3 & Side 4 XEX 712-1.

Side 3 stampers  G R D & Side 4 stampers are 4 A R.

There is a KT Tax Code visible on the centre of the side 4 record label.

The LP's come in their original Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in Very Good Plus condition, the bags do have some light inevitable creasing and small tears, and a couple of small seam splits.

And are housed in it’s original Garrod and Lofthouse Gate-fold Sleeve. This first issue sleeve is Top Opening and numbered 0082538, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed and printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal Black and White Images of each of Beatles, together with the song track listing. The Original Fully Laminated Gate-fold sleeve is in overall Excellent Minus condition, with light LP indentation and laminate flaking to the spine edge. The inner gate-fold centre of the sleeve is undamaged.

There are Four original 1968 Full Colour Glossy Photographs – one of each Beatles - All four Photographs are in Excellent Plus condition, with NO tearing or pinholes.

And an original Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in Excellent condition, with no pin holes or tears, just light creases and a couple of small splits on the folds.
