Considered to be one of most Influential and Iconic Albums of the 20th Century, this is an original 1968 UK Apple Records FIRST ISSUE STEREO two vinyl LP Set for The Beatles 1968 White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

This set is 100% COMPLETE, and has a top opening, Wide Spine Gate-fold Sleeve with, two original UK first issue stereo LP's, Four original Full Colour glossy photographs – one of each Beatles, an original Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two original 1968  Black inner record bags and the set is housed within its original, First Issue, Fully Laminated top opening, Wide Spine Numbered, No.0507423, Gate-fold Sleeve.

  LP Description/Condition:

The two First Issue stereo vinyl LP’s are on the traditional Dark Green and Half Apple, Apple Record labels, all with the ‘Sold in UK label text, and with ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four record labels.

  All four record labels in superb Excellent Plus condition, beautiful, undamaged record labels, vivid black print, with just a few signs of play to the centre spindle holes on each label.

  LP 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1. Side 2 YEX 710-1.

  LP 1, Side 1 stampers. 1 P G. Side 2 stampers. 1 O T.

  LP 2, Side 3 matrix YEX 711-2. Side 4. YEX 712-1.

  LP 2, Side 3 stampers. 1 G R D. Side 4 stampers. 7 G R D

All four sides of the vinyl LP’s are in Excellent Plus condition, the vinyl LP’s are clean and free from deep scratches and scuffs, all that is visible are a few hairlines and bag removal lines.

Having  played both LP's, all four sides play extremely well throughout all the tracks, there are no skips or distortion, no clicks or pops, a clear stereo sound quality.

  Each LP come in their original 1968 Matt  Black, Die Cut Inner Bags which show a couple of small tears.

And are housed in their original Garrod and Lofthouse Gate-fold Sleeve. This first issue sleeve is Top Opening, Wide Spine and numbered 0507423, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed and printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal Black and White Images of each of Beatles, together with the song track listing. The Original Fully Laminated Gate-fold sleeve is in Excellent Minus to Excellent condition. The sleeve is firm, clean, and glossy, with just LP indentation a small amount of laminate flaking to the spine edge, and a small crease on the bottom right corner front and back.

  There are Four original 1968 Full Colour Glossy Photographs – one of each of The Beatles - All four Photographs are in Near Mint condition, no tearing or pinholes, or creases.

  And includes an original 1968 Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric/Picture Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in undamaged Excellent condition, the poster is superb, with no pin holes or tears.
