CONDITION : VINYL - GOOD/V GOOD, SLEEVE - POOR
This album has been owned by myself since the mid eighties. I bought it 2nd hand then and was told it was an original 1968. Of course that was pre internet days and checks now show it is in fact a 1970 4th UK pressing, still a very collectable item. It came to me in its present condition and I'm afraid it has seen better days. I have always looked after it cleaning it before and after every play and always storing it correctly in its sleeve vertically. In addition this has been kept in a clear PVC sleeve to protect it. That sleeve is included in the sale.
Both vinyls are in good to very good condition with no warping or spindle wear. They both play very well with no skips or sticking. There are some visible marks and scratches but nothing dramatic and nothing that affects play. When played there are some audible crackles the worst being on side B this is probably just dust in the grooves which could be removed with a professional clean, I don't have the equipment or experience for that sorry.
Inner paper sleeves are the originals and one is held together with tape the other has biro on it.
The laminated gatefold outer sleeve is quite frankly in poor condition. It is embossed with "THE BEATLES" and numbered "300378". Top and bottoms edges are good, opening edges showing a bit of wear again nothing dramatic. The spine is done for, it has split in a number of places and is no longer readable. The inner has some biro where something has been written and scribbled out.
This album is 46 years old so some wear is to be expected however the main thing is obviously the records themselves and they are in remarkable condition considering the state of the cover. I have tried to be open and honest with this description and believe I have priced this album accordingly. Please bear all of the above in mind before you commit to buy.
THIS IS STILL A VERY COLLECTABLE ALBUM AND WILL TAKE PRIDE OF PLACE IN YOUR COLLECTION
