THE BEATLES THIRD CHRISTMAS RECORD 7 INCH WITH COVER

RECORD NUMBER LYN 948

This is an absolute original pressing from The Official Beatles Fan Club, issued in December, 1965. The record is a one-sided thick flexible plastic sound sheet with the label reading “Made in Great Britain” and “Not for sale, issued free of charge to fan club members in December, 1965”. Plays at 33 1/3 RPM.

COVER: The cover has no seam splits and is completely intact. There is no writing. The cover does show some soiled spots on the front. The back has a handful of very small and very light soiled spots. The rest of the cover has a bit of light surface wear. The bottom right corner has some light creasing and the bottom left corner has a small ding. There is one very light crease on the front near the top right corner, and one small crease on the back on the top edge.

RECORD: Visibly, the record is in nice shape and shows the usual ghosting surface marks typically found on old plastic sound sheets. It has a few light scuffs but no scratches that can be felt on the grooves. The record has a light warp, a very small crease originating on the outer edge (measuring about 3/8 inch), and one small dimple near the end. Only the beginning revolutions had repeats on our light tracking turntable, but it played through OK after that. It may play through completely with a heavier tracking tonearm.
