Description
I am selling a few of my old records to make some space. I am not a dealer so will describe the record as best I can.
The first thing noted about this record is the misprint on the label - side 2 track 1 is noted as DO YOU WANT A KNOW A SECRET, I understand this is a rare, hard to find record.
title: side A - Twist and Shout / A Taste of Honey side B - Do You Want A Know A Secret / There's A Place by - The Beatles 1963 Parlophone GEP 8882 (7TCE 762 - 2N & 7TCE 763 - 1N) in the "run off" Side 1 has stamps - centre left KT, and, centre right - looks like - P.P. 1.1 side 2 has KT stamped at top & C just below centre left, also KT is stamped either side of hole
condition:- in good daylight the playing surfaces look clean, with no scuffs, marks, or scratches
labels - side 1 is clean, with minimal spindle marks, a little wear around hole and a light surface scuff mark side 2 is clean has minor wear around hole & some light spindle marks
sleeve:- laminated front picture sleeve with some minor creases, perhaps more noticeable to bottom left corner, light ring marks- more noticeable on the reverse side, the corners have a little wear but seams/edges are very good for a 53 year old, on the reverse side, top right are the remnants of what may be an erased name - not obtrusive and unlikely to be visible on the pics. With some light discolouration I think this is still a good if not very good example of this sleeve.
playing: Both side 1 and 2 play very well, there are no clicks, skips, jumps or sticks, only a couple of minor crackles detected on track 1 side 2
Other than a single play just prior to listing - (my system is not hi-spec and doesn't really do justice to vinyl, and it's possible any crackles/clicks detected are more to do with my system than the record itself) I haven't played the record for well over 20 years, it hasn't been "cleaned" just wiped with an old anti static cloth.
