THE BEATLES
HELP! + REVOLVER
NEW ZEALAND - 'WORLD RECORD CLUB' EDITIONS
APPLE LABELS
GENUINELY HARD TO FIND
Offered for auction are TWO New Zealand World Record Club Beatles LP's - Help! and Revolver (on the Apple label) - issued in New Zealand in the early 1970's.
The NZ World Record Club 'Beatles' albums are identified as such by a unique catalogue number, with a WRC prefix, which appeared on the labels above the 'standard release' PCSM #### catalogue number.
The Record Club catalogue numbers of Help! and Revolver are WRC E.3112 and WRC E.3114 respectively.
Only the labels on the LP's make reference to their Record Club origins. The matrices and sleeves are identical to the non-Club pressings.
Matrices of Help! are: YEX 168-1 (with a '3' at the 9 o'clock position) / YEX 169-1 (with a '2' at the 9 o'clock position)
Matrices of Revolver are: YEX 605-1 / YEX 606-1 (yes, this is the fabled 'loud cut').
Please look at the 'gallery' pictures to see the condition of labels and sleeves (bearing in mind that the sleeves are 'standard' contemporary NZ sleeves and so can be replaced relatively easily).
These NZ World Record Club pressings are much thinner on the ground than the standard counterparts.
The vinyl of Revolver grades at VG. The vinyl of Help! grades at EX (there are a small number of fingerprints on one side which should disappear with cleaning - I haven't attempted to clean the record myself for fear of leaving scratches).
The vinyl LP will be shipped outside of the sleeve to eliminate possibility of seam-damage in transit
I always refund excess postage
Shipping will be via a trackable 'signature-required on delivery' service. I do not 'under-value' the parcel for Customs/Duty purposes; please don't ask me to do so if my refusal will offend.
