Here we have a lovely example of the classic Beatles White Album... a first press - and the more rare mono version.
It's complete (stills plus rare spacer paper, poster, original black inner sleeves) and numbered 168,432. It's a lovely all-round copy which I've owned for several years after I wanted to buy a keeper. However, I am now downsizing my records so, reluctantly, have decided to let this one go.
It's not quite pristine (not many are!) but it is very good... enjoyed - but obviously well looked after in the process.
Record buying and selling can be a subjective process so I do try to be as detailed - and honest - as possible to make sure you know what you're getting. So please read the description below and study the photos:
The cover is very good - sturdy, strong and clean. A little fading here and there and feathering to the top openings, plus tiny wear to the numbered corner - but definitely in the high end bracket of white album covers I've seen. Very nice.
The stills are excellent - just very minor creasing to one corner of George. It also has the rare spacer paper left in from the factory packing to protect them. No tape or blue tac etc.
The poster is good for its age - expected light wear (as these are very fragile) with four very small splits from where it has been folded over the years (the largest is pictured). But no real problems.
Original black inners are very good. Again these are very fragile and often ripped. No rips, splits or tears - just a little expected light creasing here and there.
Onto the discs, and side 1 has very good labels (small degree of spindle wear) and very few marks on the vinyl in the hard light. Side 2 has a few light marks to the vinyl but excellent labels. Side 3 vinyl again has the odd hairline and light marks - there are more on side 4, including one slightly more prominent one. Excellent labels on both sides. These are old records! So I'd say good / very good all-round.
I listened to the album through on my 1980s Sony hifi. All the discs played through cleanly and well - except for one stick right at the of disc 4 (it was at the end of 'Revolution 9' so, arguably the best place for it!). A shame because, without that one listening flaw, this really is a lovely all round white album. I guess if you had a better machine than me and gave it a good clean you might enjoy more success - but i am selling it on my experience of playing it.

So there you have it - a very nice, mono, example of a great album which is still in top shape - but with that one playing imperfection. If you can overlook that, it's definitely a lovely one and a keeper.
