Description
THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM – FIRST PRESSING US SCRANTON STEREO – ALL 7 LABEL ERRORS – EX/NM
First US press stereo, Scranton, PA, complete and original throughout with all 7 label errors and superb near mint audio. It has clean unmarked labels and the 1st press matrix numbers as follows:
Side one: SWBO-1-101-J46¹¹ #2 IAM
Side two: SWBO-2-101-J45 #2 IAM
Side three: SWBO-3-101-J47 #3 IAM
Side four: SWBO-4-101-J44 #4 IAM
Vinyl: The playing surfaces have retained perfect shine and appear indistinguishable from how they would have looked when the shrinkwrap was first removed. Clearly the original owner did not play this album more than a few times over the years which makes this an exceedingly rare copy. I've played the entire record through and it was an exceptional audio performance, a near perfect copy of an excellent Scranton PA pressing. All 4 sides earn a visual and play grade of Near Mint (NM).
Labels: All 7 label errors are present. No writing, damage, stickers etc.. Grade: NM
Inner Sleeves: Some creasing but otherwise excellent with no seam tears at all, which is almost impossible to find. Grade: NM
Sleeve: The numbered gatefold sleeve has some age wear and minor staining (see photos) and there is one small top seam split. Inside gatefold is NM and there is no inside seam splitting at all (also very rare).
Photos: All 4 are genuine and original. The backs show some age wear and one photo has a creased corner but no tearing, writing or pinholes. Grade: EX
Poster: Genuine and original. Some minor age wear but does not appear to have ever been unfolded. Grade: EX
