THE BEATLES

“THE BEATLES”

(WHITE ALBUM)

WOW!! MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original Apple Records very first MONO press released by Apple Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1969 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records Chile), catalog number Apple-2001 the first record and Apple-2002 the second record, with machine etched matrix numbers XEX 709-1 10 B3 (“B” could be “33”) in Side A and X EX 710-1 CC (one of the “C” inverted, almost creating a “0”) in Side B of first record and XEX 711-1 4 in Side A and XEX 712-1 C in Side B of second record, with traditional Apple Records labels!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! An authentic very first edition of “THE BEATLES” released in Chile!!! And as you must know, this record has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, only used in Chile, and it’s one the rarest editions worldwide!!! A must for Beatles collectors!!!

“THE BEATLES”, more known as “White Album”, was originally released in November 1968 and we didn’t have to wait much because early 1969 this great masterpiece was released in Chile. But this time we gave to the world of The Beatles the best issue possible, not only with an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, here in Chile this double album was released like 2 separate single albums entitled “THE BEATLES” and “THE BEATLES VOL. II”!!! In both records the UNIQUE COVER is made of 2 single thin cardboards for front and back cover and kept together for an outer plastic bag which’s also part of the cover. Front cover has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, only used in Chile, with coloured pictures of the face of each member, a white cross with a black Apple Records logo and catalog number in the center, the name The Beatles written vertically and the tracklist horizontally written. Back cover is also totally different, in both cases it’s written the lyrics of all songs in English only, with full credits for songwriters. In both cases you can also see a little orange paper “floating” between the plastic and the cardboard, in the first record the paper says “SERIE SELECTA Y ESTELAR” (Select and Stellar Serie) and in the second record it’s also informed the price “SERIE SELECTA Y ESTELAR – PRECIO CONTADO E° 1.300” (Select And Stellar Serie – Cash Price E°1.300”). All the copies of the the very first press of “The Beatles” include these little orange papers, they could inform the price or not, but the orange papers were there. In labels the album titles are identified “The Beatles” and “The Beatles Vol. II”, with the tracklist written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and for George Martin as producer and orchestral arrangements. It’s interesting to notice that in the first record the year 1969 is written in the little white box at the bottom but in the second record it’s informed at right edge above the spindle hole line. It’s also interesting to notice some errors, the song “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?”, correctly written in front cover it’s misspelled “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road” in label, with the “?” omitted, the song “Sexy Sadie”, correctly written in front cover is misspelled “SEXY” in label and the song “Long, Long, Long”, correctly written in front and back covers it’s misspelled “LONG LONG LONG” in label, with commas omitted. So, yes Sirs, this is really one of those finds you don’t see so often, it’s not extremely rare, but this time I’m offering both single LP’s together and complete, with the orange papers and the outer plastic bags!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all The Beatles collectors worldwide, one of the rarest album covers by The Beatles, the “White Album” with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, UNIQUE LYRICS BACK COVER, UNIQUE ISSUE WITH 2 SINGLE LP’s and UNIQUE ERRORS!!! WOW!!! AND WHAT A GREAT CONDITION!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX or EX+ condition in both records, clear and clean, no writings, no rips, no bends, no ring marks, only with minimal wear in corners and bottom edges, with some light creases, sure the outer plastic bag has worked very well protecting the cardboards. The outer plastic bags are in VG or VG+ condition, still complete, with only some little rips, a bit dirty in parts and some wear and splits at the bottom edges, where the records rest. The records are in great EX or EX+ condition all sides,  glossy and clean, with some scuffs and light hairlines and very soft little scratches hard to see at first sight, which of course don’t affect play at all. Labels are in absolute NM- or NM condition all sides, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is the best part of these records, it’s in strong EX+ or NM- condition all sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only very light occasional crackles, more evident in the silent parts and between the tracks, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the great sound these records keep from the beginning to the end, sure most of songs play in absolute NM or even NM+ condition. I’d recommend a professional vacuum cleaning anyway, maybe the sound could even get better. Overall, a record that after about 52 years keeps still a great look and still an amazing sound quality which won’t disappoint anyone, NO SKIPS, NO REPETITIONS, NO DISTORTIONS at all!!! The “White Album” released here in Chile is one of the rarest records by The Beatles released worldwide, it has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, only used here in Chile, it was released here as 2 single separate LP’s, it has an UNIQUE BACK COVER DESIGN with the lyrics and UNIQUE ERRORS!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a copy of this RARE record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile.

_________________________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
