Description
All of The Beatles mono LPs were re-pressed from their original mono masters and re-released over the course of 1981-82, as well as part of an extremely rare box set called 'The Beatles Mono Collection' (BMC10). With sound comparable to the original pressings, these analog releases were the last mono pressings before The Beatles catalogue went digital in 1987.
This particular album, The Beatles (aka The White Album) is still in its original shrink wrap, complete with the marketing sticker from its time of release. The sleeve and inserts (poster, four pics) are in excellent shape. The vinyl sounds great for the most part, but obviously, I'm getting rid of it, and that's because I lucked into a NM copy. There's some faint surface nose between tracks, but overall, the record plays very well. If you want the mono mix of this album but aren't willing to pay for an original (I sure as heck wasn't!), this is an affordable alternative.
