Summary:

THE BEATLES THE WHITE album - released by Apple GEMA in 1968 - and, without doubt, considered to be one of the most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century.

The IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with:

  • TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO White Album 12" VINYL LPs,
  • Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle,
  • An ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Heinrich Nicolaus G.m.b .H and
  • Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS.
  • The album set is protected in its ORIGINAL, First Issue, TOP OPENING, NUMBERED GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.

    The TWO ORIGINAL First Issue HEAVYWEIGHT STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘GEMA logo’ and ‘APPLE RECORDS’ label rim, together with the catalogue number SMO 2051 on sides 1&2, and SMO 2052 on sides 3&4.

    Matrix/Stamper information:

    Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
    Disc 1also has the machine stamped wording Manufactured in Germany.
    Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-2 & Side 4: YEX 712-2.

    The TWO Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Inner Bags.

    ….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, Heinrich Nicolaus G.m.b GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0339137, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve,( please note that the number is not easy to see) ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing. The top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘stereo’.

    There are Four ORIGINAL QUALITY Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle.

    And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Heinrich Nicolaus G.m.b.

    Play Quality:

    All FOUR sides of the BARELY PLAYED discs play BEAUTIFULLY throughout ALL the tracks, with NO background crackle, skips, clicks or distortion – A Very ENJOYABLE listening experience.

    Condition:

    ALL Four Record labels are in STUNNING mint BEAUTIFULLY CLEAN, UNDAMAGED record labels showing NO signs of play around the centre spindle holes.

    Both vinyl Discs look new SUPERB near mint condition, LOVELY GLOSSY UNDAMAGED Vinyl and it is obvious that the discs have been well cared for by their previous owner.

    The Original White Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in LOVELY excellent condition. This is a VERY STRONG, FIRM, WHITE sleeve throughout, with only the mildest record indentation, there are mild corner bruises to all 4 corners, the inner gatefold part of the sleeve is undamaged , NO fading to the images of The Beatles nor the tracklisting. The two inner gatefold flipbacks are UNDAMAGED. The back panel of the sleeve is STRONG and WHITE, with only the mildest record indentation. The word ‘stereo’ is clearly printed to the reverse of the sleeve in the top right hand corner. The top edge of the reverse of the sleeve has a tiny half inch‘nick’. The spine edge is in FINE condition, showing just a little flaking to the laminate, and the printed wording ‘The Beatles, SMO2051/52 are clearly readable.

    The four Original GLOSSY colour Photographs are all in UNDAMAGED MINT condition, The Original factory folded Lyric Poster is in SUPERB NEAR MINT condition, no seam splits or tearing to any of the folds and no handwriting or other damage!

    The two Original Matt Black Paper Inner Bags have survived EXTREMELY WELL and remarkably there are NO seam splits to either bag., just some unavoidable light creasing

    In our Professional opinion interest for ORIGINAL, IMPRESSIVE and COMPLETE examples of this ICONIC Beatles WHITE ALBUM release will continue to RISE, thereby increasing the longer term INVESTMENT POTENTIAL. Examples in the condition described above are becoming EVEN HARDER TO FIND now (they have never been easy).
