CLEAN CONDITION, ALL COMPONENTS IN THIS COMPLETE SET ARE 100% ORIGINAL
Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles WHITE Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.
This HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle, an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, NUMBERED GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.
LP Description/Condition:
The TWO First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, ‘NO An E.M.I. Recording Reference on all 4 record labels’ and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to ALL four sides of the Two record labels. All four labels are printed ‘Stereo’.
All four record labels in VERY NICE excellent plus condition, CLEAN, UNDAMAGED record labels, VIVID Black Print, showing only a couple of light centre spider trails to each side.
All 4 sides of the vinyl discs are in excellent condition, the vinyl discs still retain their glossy shine, with nothing more than a few light surface hairlines,There are NO scuffs or deep scratches to any of the sides.
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 1 PG & Side 2 stampers are: 2 HM.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-1 & Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 5/GDT & Side 4 stampers: 4 GDO .
The TWO 12” Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in RESPECTABLE Very Good condition. They do have some inevitable mild creasing, one of the inner bags is split down one side, and also has a 2” split to one of the seams, the other has a couple of small tears to the die-cut centre but no seam splits.
….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0461105, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing. The top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘Stereo’.
The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. This is a FIRM, and GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only mild record indentation. The back panel is UNDAMAGED, with only mild record indentation. The inner gatefold is in UNDAMAGED excellent plus condition. The spine edge is FINE, with a little laminate flaking, the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There is NO seam splitting to any of the edges, and only a very mild corner bruise to 3 of the corners.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle - All four photos are all in Excellent condition, NO tearing to any of the photo’s, each of the photo’s has two drawing pin holes to the top two corners.
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in Excellent condition, showing a couple of seam splits to the folds, and light age toning .
Play Quality:
Having carefully played both LPs, all FOUR sides play EXTREMELY WELL throughout all the tracks. There are NO skips, just some light background crackle to some of the tracks, most are crackle free. – A SUPERB listening experience.
This is a very respectable example of an original and complete 1968 Beatles STEREO White Album, 100% complete with all it’s original inserts.
