GRADING

THE GATEFOLD SLEEVE: EX (see pictures)

The top-loaded gatefold laminated sleeve is robust, fully intact and retains much of it's original gloss white finish, showing very little of the discolouration that is quite usual with white albums of this age.

The front surface is nice and clean, just a couple of light laminate wrinkles and just a tiny bit of shelf wear to bottom front right edge and gatefold centre; otherwise the edges are nice and sharp with no breaks or damage. The spine is clean and clear with "THE BEATLES" printing clearly visible.

THE TWO RECORDS: EX-

Both records have a good sheen and play very well indeed with no repeated tics, skips or jumps.

There are a few spindle marks at the centre of the records indicating these records have been played and enjoyed a number of times.

Under strong light quite a few of light sleeve removal/other marks can be seen, which give rise to some background crackle in isolated places but which does not affect enjoyment of the music

GLOSSY BEATLES PORTRAITS: EX+ (see picture)

These are in near mint condition - no pin holes, tape or blu-tac marks

ORIGINAL COLLAGE POSTER: EX

Excellent condition for its age - fully intact, with just a couple of places where it has separated at the folds.

The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
