Description

For auction the Beatles classic 1968 UK 1st pressing (STEREO) double Vinyl album ... The white album! serial number No, 0345289  with its original black innersleeves, poster and the four prints, .. a complete original set!

Condition.  the gatefold laminated TOP LOADING flipbacked sleeve is in a VERY GOOD PLUS clean overall condition, with no damage or heavy creasing, the spine is clear and legible both loading edges are sharp and firm, both flipbacks are firm and undamaged.  and the embossed BEATLES LOGO and serial number are clear to the front panel!  the word stereo is printed to the top right rear panel, making this the original and correct sleeve, just some age related handling, yellowing, and mild rubbing marks!

The two original black inners are also in nice condition and both grade VERY GOOD PLUS  The original uk "kiss lips" poster is in a EXCELLENT condition!  the four heavy card prints one of each beatle are also graded EXCELLENT.

All four apple labels hold the SOLD IN THE UK etc. text! minimal spindle trails are evident on all four as you would expect but no spindle wear, they grade EXCELLENT  side 3 has a small neat initial on it ... see photo!

VINYLS.  SIDE 1. YEX 709-1 4 OH  is in a clean VERY GOOD PLUS condition with a nice original shine, no groove wear and not too many surface marks! play tested with no problems!

SIDE 2. YEX 710-1 1 GGD  is also in a very nice condition as side 1. with the usual handling marks evident, but an original shine is maintained and grades VERY GOOD PLUS play tested with no problems and the disc lies flat on the turntable with no warp or dish effect!

SIDE 3. YEX 711-1 3 GGR  grades VERY GOOD PLUS nice and clean and playtested with no problems!

SIDE 4. YEX 712-2 2 GMP grades VERY GOOD PLUS  all four sides have been play tested and sounded great in STEREO on my TECHNICS DECK and CLASS AA amp with MISSION SPEAKERS, and a nice overall shine to the vinyl is retained, this disc also lies flat on the turntable with no warp or dish effect!

all four sides have light surface marks and some light scuffs, most caused by those harsh original black innersleeves over the years! however there are no feelable marks and all four sides have a glossy shine with no groove wear and the playback on all four sides was superb with no distortion ... sounds great!

overall then a nice complete and original uk 1968 1st stereo pressing of the white album which the previous owner had from new! nothing has been added to this set or taken away! ... a matching set of 1-1-1-1 matrix/stamper codes and all the original inserts in a very clean condition.

Overall a nice original and complete example of the hard to find STEREO version of this classic album with a nice low number, and buy with confidence.... i usually get my gradings right (see feedback!) ...or your money back!
