The ‘White Album’ double play tape cassette originally issued in a cigarette type packet/card box (similar to the flip-top king size cigarette boxes) which slipped into the back of a large display card.
Available in 'display card' form for only a short period before being replaced with the normal format in Norelco cases.
Unfortunately, the 'display card' has been lost from this example.
So rare it hardly rates a mention on the internet and I am indebted to Syd at "The Beatles UK Cassettes" web site for his guidance and information on The Beatles' enormously diverse output.
The condition of the box is not great but it remains a rare testimony to The Beatles' ingenuity and inventiveness in breaking new ground in marketing.
The cassette itself is in good condition without marks or writing on the labels.
