ORIGINAL FIRST 1968 U.S NUMBERED PRESSING! ORIGINAL SLEEVES! COMES WITH POSTER! LOW NUMBER! 0031962
ALL SIDES 1-4 ARE UNBANDED, WHICH WERE MADE TO RESEMBLE UK VERSION DISCS FOR U.S COPIES IN RESPONSE TO GEORGE HARRISON'S REQUEST! ONLY FOUND IN MATRIXES J40-J43. ALL SIDES HAVE J40 MATRIX MARKINGS! THIS IS A RARE FIND! AND EVEN MORE SO WITH A LOW NUMBER! COVER HAS SOME TAPE AROUND THE SEAMS! VINYL GRADE IS A STRONG G+ TO VG, HAS SURFACE MARKS, WHICH ARE NOT FEELABLE. PLAY TESTED. NO SKIPS!
there it is UN-BANDED VERSION - one of the rarest White Album variations . Most original copies and all reissues of the album are " Banded ". That is , Capitol Records has placed visible bands between the songs on each side , making it easy for the American listener to pick out a specific song to play. The British album is not banded. Apparently in responce to a visit from George Harrison, Capitol made several stampers ( J40 thru J43 ) that were NOT BANDED> These were often mixed in with banded stampers , so that a given copy of the numbered album might have one, two, three , or all four sides in un-banded form.
In other words : if you have an album with ALL FOUR un-banded sides - you 're lucky !! THIS IS the version George would like the most ....
The Only US Version that sounds and LOOKS like British White Album .
