HEAR THE BEATLES AS THEY WERE MEANT TO BE...

Up for bid is a MINT LP   THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM    This LP is pressed using the legendary audiophile process DIRECT METAL MASTERING, better known as DMM. This is made in Germany in  limited quantity and not very much were sent to the U.S. for sale. The records are colored white and as white as milk, very beautiful. It is in MINT condition because this record was never played at all. You will not find any spindle mark on the center of the record and no smudges. I opened this album when I bought it new in 1985 just to compare it with my Capitol copies. The jacket is the same gatefold as the U.S. made. Inside it has the mug shots of John, Paul, George and Ringo printed in semi-gloss cardboard. It has the folded poster with lyrics of the songs and pictures of the fab 4. The lettering The BEATLES on the jacket is embossed and it has the number 112103. On the top left hand corner is a sticker that says " Pressung WEISS"  DMM and at the back is an embossed EMI logo.

NOTES ABOUT DMM:  With DIRECT METAL MASTERING, the groove is cut directly in copper metal. High frequency loss, distortion and pre-echo associated with conventional lacquer mastering are eliminated and transient response is greatly improved.DMM record pressing sound brighter, cleaner, more detailed, with 15% more playing time than with lacquer technology.Stampers are plated directly from the DMM Copper Master, eliminating two of the three plating steps required for lacquers. In short, DMM yields better detail resolution and lower noise  (for vinyl, DMM sounds closer to the MASTER TAPE than any other system of cutting).
